Hosting the first beauty festival by a cosmetic brand in the CIS – Siyai Fest

Where beauty meets health and movement
On August 30, 2024, a landmark event for the beauty and wellness industry took place in Almaty – Siyai Fest, organized by Ethel Distribution for the Paula’s Choice brand. As the first festival of its scale in the CIS, it became not just a celebration but a powerful platform for promoting a holistic approach to health, self-care, and an active lifestyle.

The festival’s core idea was to promote physical and mental well-being through fitness, skincare, and self-care. The inspiration behind the concept was the Vitamin C skincare line, symbolizing energy and health. Our goal was to communicate that true radiance starts from within—through movement, nutrition, skincare, and inner balance.

Key Numbers That Speak for Themselves: Over 1,000 attendees participated in the event, more than 20 brand partners took part, over five media outlets covered the festival, and 25+ influencers shared their experiences online.
What was waiting for visitors at the festival?
To engage our audience, we launched a large-scale advertising campaign with promotional videos across digital platforms throughout Kazakhstan and on outdoor billboards in Almaty. A vibrant festival landing page was created, featuring event details, partner information, FAQs, and schedules. Active engagement on Instagram and TikTok helped quickly grow the festival's social media presence, with influencers boosting reach and interaction.

The festival featured a Pop-up Market, showcasing local handmade brands, an Obstacle Course prepared by the general partner “Shalyapin’s Gang,” a Food Zone curated by partner restaurants offering healthy treats, and a Masterclass Pavilion hosting free beauty and wellness workshops. The Health & Beauty Zone featured brand corners dedicated to health, fitness, and skincare, while the Wellness Zone offered outdoor yoga and stretching sessions led by “Prostretching.” Additionally, the Active Zone provided interactive games for adults and a dedicated children’s entertainment area.
